FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

PROCEDURE

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Retention is between 1-3 years depending on your skin type, lifestyle, pre-care, after care and your previous work (if any). Lifestyle refers to being out in the sun, swimming, getting chemical peels, taking certain medications etc. These factors will cause your tattoo to fade faster. Our work is considered Permanent Makeup however, as it fades over time some may consider it semi-permanent. If maintained over time with annual touch ups, it may last a life time.

DOES IT HURT?

This will depend on your pain tolerance. However, we apply topical anesthetic and secondary numbing throughout the procedure to minimize any discomfort. Our Artist is professionally trained to keep the pain level at a bare minimum. Most of our clients barely feel anything. Some clients even find it relaxing enough that they fall asleep! Please note that we are naturally more sensitive during our menstrual cycle. If you have a low pain tolerance, avoid an appointment during this time.

HOW DO I DETERMINE WHAT SHAPE TO GO WITH?

We take into consideration our client's face shape, structure, eye shape and personal preference. Our Artist measures and draws in the desired brows with a brow pencil. We always get our client's consent prior to proceeding with the procedure.

HOW DO I DETERMINE WHAT COLOUR TO PICK??

We work with our clients to determine what colour to choose. When it comes to Microblading or Nano Brows, we usually choose a color that matches the client's hair or brow hair. This ensures that the hair strokes we implant blends in seamlessly with the natural hair. As for Ombre or Powdered Brows we are able to go a few shades lighter or darker. Lip colour may be customized to suit the client's desire. We have created color swatches for our clients to physically see the pigment colours.

WHAT TECHNIQUE DO YOU RECOMMEND?

It depends what your preference is. Clients who want a subtle natural look tend to go with either Microblading or Nano Brows. We implant hairlike strokes that blend seamlessly into your natural brow hair. If you want to mimic makeup, we suggest Ombre or Powdered Brows. If you want a little of both we suggest any of our Combo Brows or our signature N'Ombre brows. We describe these techniques as the best of both worlds as we combine natural hairstrokes with some definition with our shading technique. Refer to our Services page for more information.
